P.A.S.S. Graduation Event & Award Recipients
P.A.S.S. Graduation Event
Every year, P.A.S.S. has recognized the efforts of our Indigenous students by hosting a Graduation Event. At the gathering we include dignitaries, Elders, past alumni, and a Keynote to address our Graduates and encourage them to pursue their post-secondary goals. The Graduation Gathering hosts drummers, powwow dancers, and cultural entertainment to showcase our culture to our community.
This event is open to the public to witness the hard-work of our graduates. We honour each attending graduate with a gift, and we hand out our Gold Medallion awards during this time as well. All of our potential graduates are encouraged to attend. This is an inclusive event so all peoples, Indigenous and Non-Indigenous are encouraged to take part.

P.A.S.S. Financial Awards
Every year, P.A.S.S. offers two bursaries to two graduating Aboriginal students who plan to continue with post-secondary education. These students show not only academic achievement, but community involvement and pride in their culture by promoting it positively.
The two nominated Graduate Recipients are selected through an application process that is provided through the Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School. The two nominees are then asked to attend the awards night to receive their bursaries, and to celebrate with other award recipients.
